Custom CNC Post-Processor Integration — Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 3 November 2026 · Version 1.0
These terms apply to custom CNC post-processor integration requests made to Sunhouse Group pty ltd (ABN 34 632 798 308).
1. Purpose and scope
These terms apply to requests for Sunhouse Group to assess, develop, configure or supply a custom CNC post-processor or NC output integration for a customer’s CNC machine. A post-processor converts toolpaths into controller-specific NC instructions. No representation is made that one post-processor works with every machine or configuration.
2. Customer-supplied technical information
Before technical assessment, the customer must supply accurate and current information relevant to the actual machine: manufacturer and model; controller brand, model, firmware and configuration; machine axes and travel limits; units and coordinate conventions; tool-change and tool-numbering arrangements; spindle and auxiliary M-codes; safety and homing behaviour; and any machine-specific requirements. The customer must obtain, where legally authorised, the programming manual, post-processor specification or equivalent documentation from the machine supplier/manufacturer, together with verified NC sample programs that have successfully run on that machine. Customers must not disclose confidential or proprietary supplier material without permission.
3. Assessment and acceptance
Sunhouse Group may request clarification, additional examples or a technical discussion before quoting or accepting an integration. An integration request is not accepted merely because documents were uploaded. Scope, deliverables, price, estimated timeframes and test responsibilities must be confirmed in writing. Sunhouse Group may decline or defer work where information is insufficient, inconsistent, unauthorised or technically unsuitable.
4. Development and compatibility
Where accepted, Sunhouse Group will use reasonable care and skill to develop or configure NC output against the documented controller requirements and agreed machine configuration. Compatibility is specific to the agreed controller, firmware, machine setup, tooling and workflow; a change to any of these may require reassessment and additional work. Sunhouse Group does not promise universal CNC compatibility or automatic support for every controller.
5. Testing, validation and commissioning
Before production use, the customer and a suitably competent machine operator must validate output on the actual machine, including simulation where available, dry runs or air cuts, safe Z clearances, tool changes, spindle direction, feeds, speeds, offsets, work coordinates, clamps, vacuum and emergency-stop readiness. Initial tests must be supervised and must not use valuable workpieces. The customer must not rely on an unverified NC file for unattended production. Final acceptance should be recorded in writing after agreed test cases pass.
6. Customer responsibilities
The customer is responsible for lawful access to its machine documentation, the accuracy of supplied data, machine maintenance and calibration, appropriate tooling and fixtures, operator competency, safe operation and independent verification of NC output before cutting. The customer must promptly report any discrepancy and stop using output that appears unsafe or incorrect.
7. Changes, support and fees
Corrections needed to meet the agreed written specification will be addressed in accordance with the applicable service agreement and consumer guarantees. Requests involving a different controller, firmware, machine configuration, extra functions or new requirements may be quoted separately. Any fees, cancellation arrangements, delivery dates, support period and acceptance criteria must be disclosed before the customer commits.
8. Limits and statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, Sunhouse Group is not responsible for problems caused solely by materially incorrect or incomplete customer-supplied information, unauthorised modifications, failure to follow documented validation procedures or use outside the agreed configuration. Any further limitation of liability must be fair, lawful and stated in the applicable signed service agreement. These terms do not automatically remove Sunhouse Group’s responsibility for its own failures.
9. Records, confidentiality and intellectual property
Both parties should retain copies of technical submissions, agreed specifications, test files, approval records and communications. Confidential technical materials must be handled for the integration purpose only, subject to any separate confidentiality or licence agreement. Ownership and permitted use of custom post-processors and related materials must be stated in the quotation or service agreement.
10. Request acknowledgement
Before submitting a custom integration request, the customer must confirm that they have read these terms, are authorised to share the technical documents, understand that compatibility requires assessment and validation, and acknowledge that submission does not guarantee acceptance. The website should retain the accepted terms version, date/time and request reference.
11. Contact and governing terms
